Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, safe nursing care to residents during overnight hours
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time
- Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes promptly
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident care plans
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record
- Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies and urgent needs
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license (ability to practice in Maine preferred)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Prior experience in long-term care, rehab, or med-surg settings is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable with overnight clinical responsibilities and documentation
Education
- LPN: Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and monitoring of adult patients
- Medication administration and safe documentation practices
- Familiarity with electronic health record charting
- Ability to triage and escalate clinical concerns appropriately
- Compassionate patient-centered care and strong customer service
