Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care with attention to safety and dignity
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
- Perform timely assessments of residents and report changes in condition to the care team
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to create and follow effective care plans
- Maintain clear, concise documentation in the resident chart to support continuity of care
- Support residents and families with respectful communication and education about care
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license in Massachusetts (must be in good standing)
- Current BLS/CPR certification required or obtainable upon hire
- Comfortable working in a long-term care/rehab setting; prior experience in similar settings is a plus
- Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills
Education
- LPN: Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and accurate charting
- Resident assessments, vital signs, and clinical observation
- Basic wound care and assistance with ADLs
- Familiarity with electronic health records and care planning
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritize resident needs
