Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours
- Assess, monitor, and document patient condition and report changes promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with policy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Support admissions, discharges, and transitions of care with accuracy
- Maintain accurate and timely charting to ensure continuity of care
- Promote a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for residents and patients
Qualifications
- Current LPN or RN license in good standing (ME licensure preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or willingness to obtain
- Clinical experience in long-term care or acute care settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a care team
- Current immunizations per facility policy and ability to pass background checks
Education
- LPN: Completed accredited practical nursing program
- RN: Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (per RN requirements)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in medication administration and nursing assessments
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
- Skilled at prioritizing tasks during overnight shift demands
- Able to perform basic clinical procedures and follow care plans
- Professional bedside manner and patient advocacy skills
