Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct resident care with compassion and professional skill
- Administer medications and treatments accurately according to orders
- Assess resident conditions and document changes clearly and promptly
- Collaborate with nursing colleagues and interdisciplinary teams to plan care
- Support resident hygiene, mobility, and daily living activities as needed
- Communicate with families and facility staff to promote resident well-being
- Follow facility policies and safety protocols to maintain a secure environment
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in Massachusetts (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain promptly)
- Previous long-term care or rehabilitation experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to pass facility background checks and required screenings
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality care
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program
- Current Massachusetts LPN license
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic wound care and infection control principles
- Comfortable using electronic health records and charting systems
- Resident assessment, delegation, and care planning skills
- Time management in fast-paced clinical environments
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
