Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents at Andover Manor Rehab & Nursing
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately during the 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM shift
- Perform timely assessments and document resident status clearly and professionally
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and update individualized care plans
- Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure high-quality care
- Respond promptly to changes in condition and escalate concerns to clinical leadership
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license (title accepts LPN or RN clinicians)
- Active nursing license to practice in Massachusetts (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfort working in a skilled nursing/rehabilitation setting and providing resident-centered care
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with nursing teams
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing or registered nursing program (as applicable to license)
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Familiarity with rehabilitation and long-term care nursing principles
- Accurate documentation and charting practices
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills with residents and families
- Comfort using electronic medical records and basic clinical technology (preferred)
