Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents according to care plans and facility standards
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document all care accurately
• Assess resident conditions, report changes, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to keep care on track
• Support activities of daily living and promote residents' dignity and independence
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents and families to build trust and understanding
• Participate in admission, transfer, and discharge processes to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain strict infection control and safety practices to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license in good standing; Massachusetts licensure preferred
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Comfortable working night shifts and flexible, per diem scheduling
• Strong clinical judgment, reliable attendance, and excellent communication skills
• Previous long-term care or rehab experience is a plus but energetic learners are welcome

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Basic wound care, IV familiarity for RNs if required, and restorative nursing principles
• Ability to perform resident assessments and recognize changes in condition
• Electronic charting and accurate record keeping
• Teamwork, time management, and the ability to prioritize in a busy night environment
• Empathy, patience, and a resident-centered approach to care
