Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional telemetry nursing care for med/surg and ortho patients, delivering safe, patient-centered treatment
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and intervene or escalate as needed to keep patients stable
• Perform clinical procedures such as IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion/maintenance, and central line care with competence and compassion
• Administer medications accurately and according to protocol while educating patients and families
• Document all care thoroughly and clearly in the Meditech EHR to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and the care team to coordinate patient-focused plans
• Manage patient assignments safely, maintaining the unit's 4-6 patient ratio expectations

Qualifications

• Current RN license (required)
• Minimum 2+ years acute med/surg experience within the last year (must-have)
• Demonstrated ability to care for 4-6 patients safely and effectively
• Telemetry experience and comfort with cardiac monitoring
• Experience with Meditech EHR preferred
• Skills in IV insertion, urinary catheter insertion/maintenance, central line maintenance, and medication administration
• Willingness to work rotating weekends
