Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
Perform thorough patient assessments and document changes in condition
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and implement individualized care plans
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
Maintain accurate, timely electronic health record documentation
Respond effectively to patient needs and clinical emergencies with professionalism

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Louisiana
Experience or background in medical-surgical nursing (Med/Surg)
Current BLS certification (and other facility-required certifications as applicable)
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Graduation from an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of adult medical-surgical nursing practices
Medication administration and IV therapy familiarity
Patient assessment, wound care, and post-operative care skills
Comfortable using electronic health record (EHR) systems
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
