Roles & Responsibilities

Provide individualized occupational therapy evaluations and interventions to promote patient independence
Develop and implement goal-driven treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the rehab team to coordinate care
Document patient progress and communicate updates clearly with the care team
Participate in orientation and facility-specific training to ensure high-quality care
Engage patients and families with education and strategies to support recovery and home safety

Qualifications

Licensed Occupational Therapist in California or eligible for California licensure
OTR/L certification or equivalent credentials preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain)
Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary hospital/clinic setting
Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or related field)
Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and treatment planning for a variety of patient populations
Skilled in ADL/IADL training, adaptive equipment recommendations, and splinting as appropriate
Strong documentation practices and familiarity with electronic medical records
Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and communicate effectively
Time management skills to provide focused, high-quality care in 4-hour shifts
