Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for assigned residents
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Perform regular assessments and monitor vital signs, reporting changes promptly
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record
- Support patient and family education with clear, respectful communication
- Uphold infection control practices and facility safety standards at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) license in New Mexico
- Current BLS/CPR certification from an accredited provider
- Comfortable working scheduled days: Sunday, Friday, Saturday with 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM shifts
- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and effective communication skills
- Experience in long-term care or medical-surgical settings is a plus
Education
- Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and accurate clinical documentation
- Basic patient assessment, wound care, and vital sign monitoring
- Familiarity with electronic health records and charting
- Infection control and patient safety best practices
- Time management and prioritization for long day shifts
- Collaborative teamwork and strong interpersonal skills
