Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled therapeutic care to patients following established treatment plans
• Collaborate with physical therapists and the care team to progress patient goals
• Document patient status, progress and interventions clearly and timely
• Assist with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers and functional mobility tasks
• Educate patients and families on home exercises and safety techniques
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and ensure a safe treatment environment

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Licensed PTA in New Jersey or eligible to obtain NJ licensure prior to start
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
• Comfortable working the assignment schedule (Sun–Sat coverage as listed)
• Ability to pass background checks and required immunizations/compliance checks
• Strong interpersonal and documentation skills; team-oriented mindset

Education

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, transfer techniques and gait training
• Familiarity with mobility devices, adaptive equipment and safe patient handling
• Knowledge of documentation standards and electronic medical records
• Ability to follow care plans and communicate clinical observations clearly
• Patient-centered approach with strong teaching and motivational skills
