Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
- Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning
- Support meal assistance and basic feeding needs with dignity
- Maintain accurate documentation of care and observations
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification (Class: CNA) required
- Current state nursing assistant registry listing preferred
- Comfortable working the evening shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and families
- Passion for patient-centered care and teamwork
- Willingness to complete facility-required orientation and trainings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assistance with ADLs, bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Basic vital signs measurement and observation skills
- Knowledge of infection prevention and patient safety practices
- Ability to perform safe patient transfers and use of assistive devices
- Familiarity with charting fundamentals and following care plans
- Good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
