Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and kindness
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
• Document care accurately and clearly in resident charts and care plans
• Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care that improves resident quality of life

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• State-specific CNA registration or licensure as applicable
• Basic CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
• Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and strong communication skills
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in providing direct resident care and assisting with ADLs
• Familiarity with basic vital signs monitoring and reporting
• Strong documentation and charting practices
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
• Effective communication and teamwork in a clinical setting
• Ability to prioritize tasks during busy shift work
