Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients during the night shift
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per policy
• Perform thorough patient assessments and escalate changes in condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records and shift handoffs
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers as needed
• Educate patients and families about treatments, medications and follow-up care

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential — required
• Active authorization to practice in New Mexico (or ability to obtain) preferred
• Minimum clinical experience working in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to work scheduled night shifts (Tuesday-Thursday) and adapt to a 12.5-hour schedule
• Current immunizations and ability to pass facility onboarding checks

Education

• Practical Nursing diploma or completion of an accredited LPN program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation skills
• Comfortable with patient assessment, vital signs and long-term care protocols
• Knowledge of wound care, ADL assistance and infection control practices
• Familiarity with electronic charting and clear clinical communication
• Excellent time management, prioritization and teamwork during fast-paced shifts
• Patient-centered approach with strong interpersonal skills
