Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and support with activities of daily living
• Assist nursing staff with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility safely
• Take and document vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families through respectful communication
• Support infection control practices and follow facility policies consistently
• Accurately document care provided and observations in the patient record

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (or eligible) — Class: CNA noted
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or obtainable
• Comfort providing hands-on patient care and working as part of a care team
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow facility policies and maintain patient confidentiality

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs, hygiene, feeding, and mobility
• Basic knowledge of vital sign measurement and documentation
• Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling
• Good observational skills to recognize changes in patient condition
• Teamwork, time management, and reliable interpersonal skills
