Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and design individualized, evidence-based treatment plans to restore function and independence
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and functional training
• Track progress through objective outcome measures and adjust care plans to maximize results
• Educate patients and families on home programs and safe mobility strategies to support long-term recovery
• Collaborate closely with nursing, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate seamless care
• Document accurately and timely in the electronic medical record to support quality, compliance, and continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted New Jersey Physical Therapist license (required)
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent clinical training preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; specialty certifications are a plus
• Strong clinical reasoning, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced rehab setting
• Comfortable providing care across all days of the week as scheduled for this assignment

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor’s or Master’s in related field considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in assessment and treatment planning for musculoskeletal and neurologic conditions
• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, and functional mobility interventions
• Familiarity with common outcome measures and rehab documentation standards
• Ability to use electronic medical records and document clear, concise clinical notes
• Team-oriented approach with strong patient education and discharge planning skills
