Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, helping with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility support to promote independence
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in resident charts and communicate with interdisciplinary team members
• Support individualized care plans and participate in care conferences to improve outcomes
• Maintain infection control standards and safe, clean bedside environments
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families, delivering respectful and dignified care

Qualifications

• Active LNA certification (Class: LNA) — VT or NH credentials as applicable
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfort working in long-term care / skilled nursing settings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to pass facility background checks and meet health screening requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved Nurse Aide / LNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven skills in resident care and assistance with ADLs
• Knowledge of basic infection control and safety practices
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs and observations
• Good documentation and reporting skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy when working with older adults
