Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility with dignity and respect
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition promptly to the nursing team
• Accurately document care provided and observations in the patient record
• Support safe transfer and positioning techniques to prevent injury
• Collaborate with nurses and other care team members to deliver excellent resident-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Active, unrestricted state CNA license or registry in Pennsylvania
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; a positive attitude and empathy for patients
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain if required by facility
• Ability to pass facility background checks and required health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care and infection control practices
• Ability to assist with ADLs and mobility support safely
• Familiarity with documentation best practices and basic charting
• Good observational skills to notice and report changes in condition
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents and the interdisciplinary team
