Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical function and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on therapy and therapeutic exercise to improve mobility and independence
• Document patient progress clearly and promptly in the medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehab staff to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe mobility strategies
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient response and goals

Qualifications

• Current, active Pennsylvania Physical Therapist license or ability to obtain licensure promptly
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Clinical experience in physical therapy (outpatient, inpatient rehab, or similar) — ideal candidates bring strong hands-on skills
• Comfortable working with a diverse caseload across all ages and diagnoses
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehab team

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred or Bachelor/Master in Physical Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in musculoskeletal and neuromuscular assessment and treatment
• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, and assistive device fitting
• Familiarity with common rehab documentation and outcome measures
• Strong clinical reasoning and patient-centered goal setting
• Ability to prioritize caseload and manage time effectively
• Comfortable using electronic medical record systems
