Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for adults with substance use and co-occurring mental health needs
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches to achieve measurable outcomes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including medical and correctional staff, to coordinate care
• Document clinical encounters clearly and timely to meet regulatory and facility standards
• Support crisis intervention and de-escalation when needed to maintain safety

Qualifications

• Active California licensure: LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) preferred; candidates with PSYL (Psychologist), LPCC, or LMFT licensure are encouraged to apply
• Comfortable and professional working within a behavioral health or substance abuse treatment setting
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
• Ability to attend required training week and maintain the listed Tue–Fri schedule
• Clear background check and any facility-required credentials or clearances

Education

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related clinical field (degree appropriate to licensure)

• Substance use disorder assessment and relapse prevention strategies
• Crisis intervention and risk assessment
• Excellent clinical documentation and charting practices
