Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Support safe mobility and transfers while encouraging independence
• Maintain clean, comfortable resident environments and assist with feeding as needed
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with residents, families, and team members
• Document care activities promptly and follow facility policies and infection-control protocols

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania (required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfort working in long-term care/rehabilitation settings and supporting elderly residents
• Ability to work a consistent day schedule including weekends and shared holiday coverage
• Strong communication, teamwork, and observational skills
• Professional, reliable, and patient-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in assisting with ADLs and bedside care
• Knowledge of basic infection control and safety procedures
• Skill in taking and documenting vital signs and resident observations
• Ability to follow care plans and communicate changes to nurses
• Compassionate bedside manner and de-escalation skills when needed

This is a contract assignment near scenic Berks County.
