Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, mobility)
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient chart and communicate effectively with team members
• Help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients and visitors
• Assist with feeding, hydration, and observe dietary restrictions or preferences
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team to ensure each patient’s care plan is followed

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Valid state CNA license (Pennsylvania certification preferred) or eligible to obtain
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable with night-shift responsibilities and working as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and maintaining patient dignity
• Able to take and document vitals accurately
• Familiarity with infection control procedures and safety protocols
• Comfortable with basic charting and communicating observations to nursing staff
• Team player mentality with strong time-management and prioritization skills
• Physical stamina for lifting, turning, and standing during shifts
