Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed, evidence-based clinical services for patients with mental health and substance use needs
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver individual and group therapy aligned with facility standards and best practices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure continuity
• Document clinical progress and maintain timely, professional records
• Participate in treatment planning meetings and support discharge planning as needed
• Support a safe, therapeutic environment and contribute to quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Active LCSW license in California (Licensed Clinical Social Worker); LPCC, LMFT, or Psychologist (PSYL) credentials also accepted per facility notes
• Newly licensed clinicians welcome (position listed as NEW Licensed Clinical Social Worker / NEW Psychologist)
• Experience or interest in mental health and substance abuse treatment (facility specializes in substance abuse treatment)
• Ability to work the posted schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills

Education

• Master of Social Work (MSW) or equivalent clinical master’s degree for LCSW candidates
• Doctoral or appropriate clinical degree for licensed psychologists (PsyD/PhD) where applicable
• Relevant clinical training in mental health and substance use treatment

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical knowledge of mental health conditions and substance abuse treatment approaches
• Comfort with conducting assessments, individual and group therapy
• Skill in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
• Strong documentation practices and familiarity with treatment planning
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary staff
