Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team
- Support patient mobility, transfers, and safe positioning
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
- Contribute to a positive patient experience with kindness and professionalism
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in good standing
- Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM evening shift
- Ability to provide hands-on patient care and assist with transfers
- Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care techniques and understanding of ADLs
- Knowledge of infection prevention and patient safety practices
- Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with patient charting and basic computer skills for documentation
- Strong observational skills and ability to escalate concerns appropriately
- Empathy, patience, and a calm bedside manner
