Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — assist with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Support patient safety and infection control practices on every shift
• Document care accurately and timely in the facility charting system
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Create a comforting environment — engage residents in conversation and promote dignity and independence

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (state certification required; Pennsylvania certification preferred)
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain promptly
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic patient care tasks
• Demonstrated compassion, strong communication skills, and a team-oriented attitude
• Willingness to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings
• Previous long-term care, skilled nursing, or acute care experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and infection control practices
• Ability to safely assist with transfers and mobility support
• Good documentation habits and basic charting skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and families
• Reliable time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
