Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting and mobility support
• Take and document vital signs, report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe patient transfers and maintain fall prevention measures
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary staff
• Follow infection control and facility policies to ensure a safe environment
• Build rapport with residents and families to promote dignity and comfort

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — New Mexico certification preferred or eligible
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) on scheduled days
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a care team
• Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with good observation and documentation habits
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and ADL assistance
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with charting/documentation practices and electronic health records
• Infection control and safety awareness
• Good time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
• Teamwork, empathy and strong interpersonal skills
