Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting daily living activities
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting while preserving dignity
• Monitor and document vital signs, observations, and patient responses accurately
• Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Communicate changes in patient condition clearly to nurses and the care team
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Participate in care planning and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (must be valid in Pennsylvania)
• CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Previous experience as a CNA preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by facility
• Compassionate, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• State-approved CNA training program completion and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of patient care fundamentals and infection control
• Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Experience with ADLs, mobility assistance, and safe transfer techniques
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
