Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting needs
• Take and document vital signs accurately and reliably
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Help create a warm, respectful environment that promotes dignity and independence

Qualifications

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential or completion of an approved CNA program
• Ability to obtain or hold state CNA certification for Pennsylvania
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working night shifts and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Strong communication skills, empathy, and reliability
• Previous experience as a CNA preferred but new graduates who meet certification requirements are encouraged to apply

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and infection control practices
• Skill in patient lifting, transfers, and safe use of mobility aids
• Ability to document care clearly and follow care plans
• Familiarity with resident rights, privacy, and dignity standards
• Good time management and teamwork under busy clinical conditions
