Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents as a Certified Nursing Assistant
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
• Monitor residents’ condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team
• Build meaningful connections with residents to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania (or eligible to obtain)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is a plus
• Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations per facility policy
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude
• Ability to perform physical aspects of the role, including safe lifting and mobility assistance

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundational knowledge of resident care and activities of daily living
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Basic documentation and charting skills
• Teamwork and effective communication with nurses and other caregivers
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
• Ability to follow care plans and voice concerns when changes occur
