Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to the nursing team
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility to promote independence
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and patient status
• Follow infection control protocols to keep patients and staff safe
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
• Offer emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (state-appropriate) — required
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to work night shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) reliably
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or acute care settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and ADL assistance
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
• Charting/documentation and handoff communication
• Infection prevention and safe handling techniques
• Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
• Compassionate bedside manner and de-escalation skills
