Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition with clear, timely documentation
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately while following established protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans to support recovery
• Provide compassionate hands-on care including wound care, IV support, and activities of daily living as needed
• Escalate concerns promptly and participate in problem-solving to improve care quality and safety

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico (RN preferred for this posting)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS a plus
• Previous clinical experience in acute care or rehabilitation preferred
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN diploma or RN associate/BSN as applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and accurate charting
• Comfortable with vital signs monitoring, wound care, and basic IV management
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Excellent patient education and family communication skills
• Team-oriented mindset with sound clinical judgment and prioritization abilities
