Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance
• Help with daily living activities and promote independence while ensuring safety
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with meal service and basic feeding as needed, respecting dietary plans
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation of care and activities
• Follow infection control protocols and facility procedures to protect patients and staff
• Support team members during transfers, ambulation, and mobility assistance

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) required
• Active placement on the Pennsylvania CNA registry or eligible to enroll
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Aide training program
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or must obtain upon hire
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
• Willingness to pass background check and drug screening

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care skills and comfort with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Good communication and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Knowledge of basic charting and documentation practices
• Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed nurses
• Respectful, empathetic approach to working with residents and families
