Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside nursing care to patients in the Uptown Health/Rehab area
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
• Monitor and document patient condition, vital signs, and clinical changes
• Collaborate closely with RNs, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
• Support patient admissions, transfers, and discharges with clear communication
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure a safe care environment

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in New Mexico required
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or acute care preferred
• Strong medication administration skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN / vocational nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment and basic nursing procedures
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and charting
• Proficient at medication administration and documentation
• Able to manage time effectively in a 12-plus hour shift environment
• Good interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and staff
