Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, safe nursing care to assigned patients during the night shift
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes promptly to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and follow care plans
• Provide clear, professional handoffs at shift change to ensure continuity of care
• Support patient education and family communication with empathy and clarity
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control and facility policies

Qualifications

• Valid LPN or RN license (class listed: LPN or RN) — hold appropriate active licensure
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain)
• Comfortable working overnight 12+ hour shifts
• Strong assessment, medication administration and documentation skills
• Team player with excellent communication and patient-centered focus
• Previous acute care or facility experience preferred

Education

• Completion of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program (diploma, ASN/ADN or BSN as applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, vital signs and basic/complex nursing interventions
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical charting
• Effective triage and prioritization during busy night shifts
• Strong clinical judgment, time management and teamwork abilities
• Good communication skills with patients, families and interdisciplinary teams
