Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and accurately
- Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary care team
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and timely
- Support patient mobility, comfort, and basic care needs with dignity and respect
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth handoffs and continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license appropriate for practice in New Mexico (required)
- Relevant clinical experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting (preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Current immunizations and compliance with facility health requirements
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
Education
- LPN: Practical nursing diploma or certificate (or equivalent)
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing diploma (or equivalent)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid clinical assessment and basic nursing skills for med administration and patient monitoring
- Familiarity with documentation best practices and electronic health records
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy care environment
- Compassionate patient interaction and effective communication with families and team members
- Adaptability to changing patient needs and clinical situations
