Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and monitor patient condition closely
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Document patient information, vitals, and care activities clearly and timely
- Collaborate with RNs, providers, and the care team to support patient plans
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transitions of care to keep flow smooth
- Educate patients and families about care plans and follow-up instructions
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in good standing (New Mexico licensure required or eligible)
- Professional, patient-first attitude with strong communication skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required or willing to obtain
- Comfort working on a 12+ hour day shift and adapting to unit needs
- Ability to pass facility background and health screenings
Education
- LPN: Vocational diploma or LPN certificate
- RN alternative (if applicable): Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or BSN
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid fundamentals in medication administration and wound care
- Strong patient assessment and observation skills
- Accurate documentation and time management
- Team-oriented approach with good clinical judgment
- Basic computer/charting skills for electronic health records
