Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, helping with daily living activities
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility, and toileting with dignity and respect
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and vital signs
• Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics
• Collaborate with nurses and support staff to create a positive, healing environment

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in good standing
• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable providing direct patient care and following care plans
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Background check and any required immunizations as per facility policy

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic patient care principles and infection control
• Skill with vital sign measurement and documentation
• Ability to safely assist with mobility and transfers
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient-focused approach
• Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs in a busy setting
