Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and safe positioning
• Measure and document vital signs accurately and promptly
• Support nursing staff by reporting changes in patient condition
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and charting
• Ensure patient dignity, privacy, and comfort at all times
• Follow infection control and safety protocols consistently
• Collaborate with the care team to implement individualized care plans
• Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests
• Help create a warm, healing environment for patients and families

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (New Mexico preferred)
• Active state registry status as required by state regulations
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Prior experience in a long-term care, rehab, or acute setting helpful but new graduates are welcome
• Proof of required immunizations and ability to pass background checks
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient care fundamentals and assistance with ADLs
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs
• Knowledge of basic infection control and safety practices
• Good charting and documentation habits
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for patients and families
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
• Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced care environment
