Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Perform routine vital signs checks and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Support safe mobility, transfers, and positioning to maintain patient comfort and dignity
• Document care accurately and timely in patient charts and communicate critical information during shift handoffs
• Maintain infection control standards and help ensure a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (PA) or equivalent
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Comfort working independently during night shifts and as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care, bathing, feeding, and toileting assistance
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling techniques
• Able to take and record vital signs accurately
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Teamwork, time management, and clear communication with patients and staff
