Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition promptly
- Support mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Assist nursing staff with care plans and carry out assigned tasks with attention to detail
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and the care team
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) required
- Comfortable working a long day shift (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) and providing physical patient care
- Ability to pass any facility-required background checks and health screenings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; a caring attitude is essential
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care skills including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting assistance
- Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of infection control practices and safe patient handling
- Good observational skills and the ability to report clinical changes
- Patient-centered communication and compassionate bedside manner
