Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and compassion
- Provide safe, attentive bedside care and support to nursing staff and patients
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the care team
- Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with nurses and therapists
- Support safe mobility and fall prevention efforts while encouraging patient independence
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to help deliver excellent patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
- State CNA registration or ability to register in New Mexico as required
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Compassionate bedside manner and ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Reliable attendance and ability to work the listed shift (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient hygiene, transfers, and safe mobility techniques
- Familiarity with vital sign measurement and basic patient assessment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for working with nurses, therapists, and families
- Knowledge of infection control practices and safe patient handling
- Attention to detail for accurate documentation and charting
