Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered care and assist with daily living activities
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility and feeding as needed
• Monitor and document vital signs and any changes in condition accurately
• Communicate resident status and concerns promptly to nursing staff and supervisors
• Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety procedures
• Help foster emotional well-being by engaging residents in conversation and activities
• Contribute to team care plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to deliver quality care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active state CNA listing/registration as required by Pennsylvania
• Willingness to pass background check and health screening per facility policy
• Basic CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Accurate vital signs collection and documentation
• Basic infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Effective communication with residents, families, and care teams
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced healthcare setting
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to build trust with residents
