Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility with dignity and compassion
• Monitor and record vital signs and changes in condition, reporting concerns to nursing staff promptly
• Provide safe, reliable patient transfers and positioning to reduce risk of injury
• Support feeding, hydration, and comfort measures while promoting independence
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient record to ensure continuity
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team to support person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Pennsylvania
• Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings (TB, immunizations)
• Comfortable with physical aspects of care and safe patient handling
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, team-oriented approach

Education

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and current state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic nursing care principles and resident rights
• Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection prevention and standard precautions
• Good documentation practices and basic computer/EMR comfort
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork mindset
