Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers and safe ambulation
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in resident charts
- Support a clean, safe environment by following infection control protocols
- Communicate effectively with the care team and residents’ families to ensure coordinated care
- Promote dignity and independence for every resident through respectful care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in good standing (state registration required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and a team-oriented attitude
- Previous CNA experience preferred; new grads with clinical training welcome to apply
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of safe patient handling and infection control practices
- Skill in taking and documenting vital signs and basic observations
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and mobility support
- Good time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
