Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality MS/Telemetry nursing care, continuously monitoring cardiac rhythms and interpreting dysrhythmias
• Administer IV therapy, access and manage PICC/ports/central lines, and start and maintain IVs
• Administer blood products safely and manage associated protocols
• Care for patients with tracheostomies and manage oxygen therapy including High Flow Nasal Cannula
• Support dialysis patients with hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis management and pre/post dialysis care
• Perform feeding tube care and manage nutrition-related devices
• Deliver wound care and manage wound vacs with attention to best practices
• Document all care accurately and efficiently in Epic
• Respond to rapid response and code teams and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Float within scope to meet facility needs and support like units as required

Qualifications

• Active RN license (pending licenses are not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Travel nursing experience required and open to travelers (locals outside 50-mile radius accepted)
• Comfort with floating between like units within scope of practice
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
• Orientation: 24 hours as provided by the facility

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring, including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Epic charting and strong documentation skills
• IV therapy, PICC/port and central line management
• Blood product administration and heparin protocol familiarity
• Tracheostomy care, oxygen therapy, and High Flow Nasal Cannula management
• Feeding tube care and basic GI management related to feeding tubes
• Hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis knowledge, renal failure patient care
• Wound care and wound vac management
• Isolation precautions, PPE, and infection control practices
• Experience with rapid response/code team activation and collaborative emergency response
