Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to nursing staff
• Support safe patient mobility and transfers using proper techniques
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Document care and observations promptly and clearly in patient records
• Provide compassionate support and reassurance to patients and their families
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — Pennsylvania preferred or transferable
• Active state CNA license or eligibility to obtain one
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills, dependability, and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous CNA experience is a plus but enthusiastic, caring candidates are encouraged to apply

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient care and personal support
• Comfort with taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Understanding of infection control and safe hygiene practices
• Basic charting and documentation skills (electronic or paper charting)
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to comfort patients
