Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Support safe patient mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Provide compassionate personal care and emotional support to residents and families
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care and observations
• Follow infection control protocols and help maintain a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure each patient receives individualized, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Completion of a CNA training program or equivalent clinical experience
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by facility
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work the assigned shift hours

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in basic patient care tasks: bathing, feeding, toileting, and ambulation
• Skilled at taking and documenting vital signs and patient observations
• Familiarity with infection control procedures and safe patient handling
• Comfortable with electronic or paper charting systems
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to follow care plans and nurse directions
