Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to patients in the Uptown Health/Rehab area
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor patient condition and promptly report changes to the care team
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses thoroughly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and care transitions with clarity and empathy
- Support a positive, patient-centered environment and mentor junior staff when needed
Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse license (eligible to practice in New Mexico)
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred for some roles
- Relevant clinical experience in long-term care, rehab, or acute settings is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on night shift
- Demonstrated ability to provide patient-focused, safe nursing care
Education
- LPN: Vocational diploma or equivalent
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) accepted
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and monitoring skills for adult patients
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during 12-hour shifts
- Teamwork, critical thinking, and good bedside manner
