Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to assigned patients and families
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Perform patient assessments and report changes promptly to the care team
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow care plans
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate, timely charting in the patient record and ensure compliance with facility policies
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license (LPN preferred as listed)
- Valid North Carolina nursing license or eligibility to obtain NC licensure
- Current basic nursing skills and comfort with adult and/or geriatric patient care
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team-focused environment
- Flexible, dependable, and committed to high-quality patient care
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN program appropriate to license listed
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals and safe medication administration
- Competence in patient assessment, vital signs, and wound care basics
- Ability to document clearly and accurately in electronic health records
- Good clinical problem solving and time management skills
- Professional bedside manner and strong teamwork orientation
