Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care consistent with LPN or RN scope of practice
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor patients, reporting changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while following safety protocols
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and follow individualized care plans
• Document patient care clearly and efficiently in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure a safe care environment

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license in good standing; NC licensure preferred or eligible
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or PALS encouraged depending on unit
• Clinical experience in acute care, long term care, or related nursing settings desired
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively on a busy team
• Ability to complete documentation in an electronic health record and follow facility policies

Education

• LPN: Practical Nursing diploma or certificate
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical monitoring
• Medication administration and IV/IV therapy basics (as applicable to licensure)
• Wound care and basic procedures consistent with facility expectations
• Familiarity with infection prevention and safety procedures
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical environment
